The purpose of the North American SCI Consortium (NASCIC) is to convene organizations in North America that advocate, represent, or communicate with people living with spinal cord injury (SCI).
We accomplish this through projects. If you are interested in partnering with NASCIC for a project, trial recruitment or letter of support, please review our requirements, criteria, and various methods of working with us.

02 Project Partnership Requirements
Project submissions should be a brief overview providing details including:

Project title, contact information, and brief description

Goals & Objectives
Goals, objectives, outcomes, and timeline of the project

Engagement Level
Level of engagement and resources required of NASCIC
4
Budget
Estimated budget including compensation for individual advisors
Project Partnership Fee Schedule
Our Project Partnerships are a fee-for-service. The NASCIC Project Review Committee has established a detailed fee schedule based on the projects we support. Budgeting guidance is available upon request.
03 Partnership Evaluation Criteria
NASCIC evaluates project partnership opportunities based on their likelihood to:
Form relationships between individuals and organizations representing SCI
Exchange valid, trustworthy, and useful information, experience, and knowledge
Promote best practices in research, treatment, and care
Create and/or strengthen a unified voice for SCI in North America
Promote collaboration among experts in research, clinical care, and advocacy
Impact the lives of people living with SCI
Meaningfully and actively engage persons with lived experience of SCI
04 Scoring & Review Process

Initial Submission
Project submissions directed to NASCIC Vice President and shared with Project Review Committee

Committee Review
PRC evaluates projects based on alignment criteria and works iteratively with submitters for revisions

Scoring
Final submission scored 1-5 on each criterion (max 35 points). Projects scoring above 23 advance to Executive Council
4
Executive Approval
Executive Council reviews and votes. Approval by simple majority confirms partnership
5
Partnership Launch
Upon approval, NASCIC becomes fully involved equal partner in all project activities and decisions
Partnership Oversight
Following approval as a NASCIC Project Partnership, the VP will query the database of members interested in participating in projects or make an open call to fulfill specific project needs. A project lead will be identified and responsible for communicating with the VP.
Important: NASCIC must be acknowledged for its role in any publications, promotional or communication materials related to the project.
