Now that you have completed the course and gained new knowledge on how to be an SCI research advocate or
how to meaningfully engage the SCI community in your research, it’s time to take the next step.
If you are an individual with SCI lived experience or a caregiver and want to get involved in SCI research as an advocate:
Sign up for NASCIC’S Project Engagement Database (PED).
NASCIC utilizes the PED to recruit research advocates for partnered projects, which could include a consumer advisory board, focus group, round table discussions etc. When NASCIC receives approved project requests, we then inform those in the PED of the engagement opportunity.

If you don’t know where to start with the engagement process, we can help you. Depending on the stage of your research or development, the methods of engaging those with SCI lived experience can differ. Let’s get started to learn more about your project. Just provide us with some basic information and we will be in touch to help facilitate your community engagement needs.
